YES! All the rumors are true: I’ve finally replaced my digital camera! I’m the proud owner of a Canon EOS 350D (Canon Digital Rebel XT)! Or, I will be the owner once it arrives in 2 days.

I’m completely excited and intimidated by it. Clayton, the good husband that he is, said that he has thought that we would get a nice camera like this one day because he thinks I take nice pictures and it would be a good investment. Gotta love that guy. Maybe I should buy him an ice cream cone (by the way, that’s romance to a guy).

So now I have one lens to work with, with the possibility of buying more for specialized occasions. *pssst. my birthday is coming up* Man, this is definitely a step up. And I’m serious when I say it’s intimidating. I never took a photography class in college, but always wanted to. And because I had a book scholarship I just steathly picked up a couple of books from the photography class section to add on to the pile when I checked out. I also did this with Classics, which is why we have so many unread books. They look nice on a shelf but I can typically think of a new bestseller that I’m eager to read first.

We’ll see if I can figure out all the buttons and menus, and then remember what they do. Abreviations can be annoying.
