Today we can home from a little bit of unsuccessful shopping. As we pulled into our house we saw a large bone in our neighbor’s driveway. After a little convincing Teresa went to take a quick look at it.
She came in the house and said, “It’s a femur. It’s too big to be a deer. So it is either a big mammal or a human.”
“Really?” I replied. “You should go get it and find out for sure.”
She hesitated.
“I’ll go get it!” I said. I went to get a plastic grocery bag, but Teresa redirected me.
“Get a gallon zip-lock, so we don’t have to take it out when I get to the lab.
I did as she said and ran out to our neighbor’s driveway.
But
the
bone
was
gone.
We are pretty sure our neighbor saw Teresa inspecting the bone of her boyfriend, whom she recently killed. When Teresa came back inside our neighbor ran out to hide the evidence.
We always get sketchy neighbors.

If you have ever been on a short term mission with a youth group you know that there are all sorts of possible issues surrounding short term trips. Like, do they actually benefit the people you are serving? Are your students growing in their faith? Who is being blessed by your ministry?
Teresa recently spent all morning macerating a dead animal for a zooarchaeology comparative collection. The contest is to see who can guess what animal this is. The spoon is size comparison. Leave a comment to let us know what you think it is.    Â
